Yīn Yīn

bio:

Yīn Yīn is a Dutch band born in Maastricht and active since 2017, which in just a few years has become one of the most recognisable projects on the new international scene between psychedelic funk, krautrock and analogue electronics. Their sonic imagery takes shape from a constant dialogue between hypnotic grooves, oriental melodies and cinematic suggestions, building an immediately identifiable musical aesthetic.

The debut with Pingpxng has attracted the attention of European critics for its ability to fuse funk rhythms, retro atmospheres and Asian influences into a fluid and visionary instrumental narrative. With the album The Rabbit That Hunts Tigers, Yīn Yīn's productions are characterised by the use of vintage synthesisers, pulsating bass lines and a sound construction that favours the journey rather than the song-form. Live, Yīn Yīn transforms each concert into an immersive experience: a continuous flow of psychedelic energy combining body and mind, club culture and exotic imagery, tradition and avant-garde. Their music transcends language and geographical barriers, speaking to a transversal and international audience, attracted by global sounds and a strong visual and sonic identity.

Yīn Yīn live at Color Fest - 12 August 2026

An event that fits perfectly into the festival's vision, where electronics, cultural contamination and musical research become a collective experience. A night of groove, psychedelic trance and continuous movement, on the Lungomare Falcone Borsellino promenade, between the sea and the Calabrian sunset.
