The Falcone e Borsellino waterfront where the Color Fest takes place: kilometres of beach, equipped lidos, centuries-old pine forest and sunsets over the Tyrrhenian Sea that give this coastline its name. Also to be experienced in the days before and after the festival.

The Norman-Swabian Castle on the San Teodoro hill, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the Lametino Archaeological Museum with finds from ancient Terina (5th century B.C.) and the House of Ancient Books with over 2,500 volumes from the 16th century.

From the sea to Sila in an hour

Lamezia Terme is at the narrowest point in Calabria. In just a few kilometres, you go from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the thousand-year-old forests of the Sila - a contrast you won't find anywhere else.

The area around Lamezia Terme produces two certified excellences: the Lamezia DOC wine (from the indigenous grape varieties Nerello and Greco Nero) and the'Lametia Extra Virgin Olive Oil PDO, among the best in the Mediterranean.

At the festival you will find a'food area with Coldiretti delicacies and local producers. But don't stop there: Calabrian gastronomy should be explored in the restaurants in the historic centre, the agriturismi on the plain and the trattorias on the coast.

The festival city: what to discover

Lamezia Terme is not only the hub for getting to Calabria - it is a city with 2,500 years of history, a historic centre to explore on foot and an amazing cultural offer.

🏰 Norman-Swabian Castle

From the top of the hill San Teodoro dominates the plain with a panorama that reaches as far as the sea. Built in the 11th century, it is shrouded in legends - such as that of fairies emerging from the cave at nightfall.

🏛️ Lametino Archaeological Museum

In the San Domenico Complex: the remains of ancient Terina, a Magna Graecia colony dating back to the 5th century B.C., with an urban layout reminiscent of the great Greek cities.

📚 House of Ancient Books

Over 2,500 printed volumes from the 16th century - Venice, Rome, Naples, Lyon, Antwerp, Paris - and Greek and Latin manuscripts with annotations by the philosopher Tommaso Campanella.

⛪ Cathedral and Diocesan Museum

The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in the heart of the Nicastro district and the Diocesan Museum in the Bishop's Seminary building, among the most important in Calabria.

♨️ Charon Spa

The ancient Aque Angae: sulphur springs at 39°C in Sambiase. Modern spa and a green area with free access - the "gurna" - where you can bathe all year round.

🌿 Botanical Garden
