Lamezia Terme (CZ) Calabria - Southern Italy
Lungomare Falcone e Borsellino - Riviera dei Tramonti, Calabria. Summer on a Solitary Beach.
First room to the right is one of the most fascinating and mysterious projects of the new Italian music scene. Behind the name lies a 22-year-old Neapolitan artist who chose the’anonymity as a poetic statement: no face, no name, just music. A countertrend gesture in an era when images dominate, which transforms every listening session into an intimate, unfiltered journey, where only emotions and sound count.
The project was born by chance in the’summer of 2023, during an evening at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Naples. The idea is simple: to sing in falsetto on minimal, unstructured ambient beats with a huge load of emotionality. The name comes from the most everyday reality: the first room to the right is his room, the place where all music is born and where the deepest memories are stored. Right from the start, the project attracts the attention of insiders: Nayt is the first to report it publicly, and before long the Instagram profile is followed by Hernia, Emma Nolde, Mara Sattei, Madame, Canova, Thirteen Peter and many others.
The 24 January 2025 comes out AMANDA, the first EP released by Sugar Music with distribution Universal Musicseven tracks that mix synth pop, dream pop, electronics e shoegaze, built around a heavenly, mournful falsetto that immediately becomes the project's trademark. The tracks become viral on TikTok with over 3 million likes, and the single I love you opens the door to exponential growth. Individuals follow enough e I feel lost without you, then collaboration in the track Even if I love you with Golden Years, Frah Quintale e Nayt - one of the most played tracks of the’summer 2025.
Live activity began in the same summer: the debut at the MI AMI Festival, then The First Summer at Lido di Camaiore and the Locus Festival of Bari. But the most significant experiences are the openings for two giants of the international scene: James Blake at OGR of Turin e Fred Again... at Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, in front of 15,000 people. In August 2025, Apple Music selects him as the programme's new artist Up Next Italy, confirming his status as an emerging talent to watch.
The 6 March 2026 second EP is released, The girl who played the piano, anticipated by the singles infinite (produced by BRAIL with the Leavetheclub) e you don't want anyone (produced with Dardust), with a feat by Drast in the track 2 am. The work marks a significant evolution: a futuristic and sophisticated pop that fuses the ethereal grace of Sufjan Stevens, the minimal electronics of James Blake and the cinematic sound of M83, with meticulous attention to detail and forays into the breakbeat and in the acoustic music. The first club tours (organised by D'Alessandro & Galli) leads him to Milan (Arch-Beauty, sold out), Bologna (Locomotiv), Rome (Monk) and Naples (Duel Club), accompanied on stage by Vanegas (Marco Spaggiari) on guitar and synth and Marco Fugazza to the battery, with the lighting design of Bianca Peruzzi. At Spotify counts today almost 400,000 monthly listeners.
11 August 2026 first room to the right comes for the first time in Calabria on stage at the Colour Fest 14, the most important independent festival in Southern Italy, scheduled for the’11, 12 and 13 August on Falcone and Borsellino promenade by Lamezia Terme.
