The Colour Fest 14 has always had an eye for the Italian indie scene more cultured. Wednesday 12 August 2026, in the Day 2, they play the The Zen Circus, one of the leading independent rock bands in our country.

Who they are

Trio founded in Pisa from Andrea Appino, Massimiliano “Ufo” Schiavelli e Karim Qqru, the The Zen Circus have built up a discography of more than ten albums, from early records in English to masterpieces in Italian such as “Fuck you all”, “Songs against nature”, “Alive you die”. They passed through The Tempest, Polydor, Universal; they did Sanremo in 2019 with “Love is a dictatorship”; they collaborated with Brian Ritchie of Violent Femmes, Manuel Agnelli, Nada.

What to expect from the live

The live performance of Zen Circus is a precise thing: rock songwriting, acid lyrics, irony, folk and electric moments, pogo finishes. The band has behind it twenty years of stagesThe machine is oiled, the relationship with the public is that of someone who has been through the entire recent history of Italian indie live, not from the discs.

The Colour Fest is one of the few Italian festivals that manages to hold together international electronics e Italian singer-songwriter on the same stage. See the The Zen Circus at beach, in Calabria, after a set of Sébastien Tellier and before Cosmo, is one of those mash-ups that only work here.
