Under the slogan “Summer on a Solitary Beach”, the edition 2026 transforms the Calabrian Tyrrhenian coast into a melting pot of contemporary sounds and sights, where every evening on the beach becomes a collective musical journey.

Who is Sébastien Tellier: the romantic dandy of French music

Born in Le Plessis-Bouchard in 1975, Sébastien Tellier He is an artist who defies categorisation. A singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and performer, over the course of a career spanning more than twenty years he has built up a discography in which pop, electronic, folk, disco and bossa nova intertwine with a naturalness that is the hallmark of true visionaries. His debut in 2001 with L'incroyable Vérité, released on Record Makers — the same label as Air — immediately brought him to the attention of international critics as one of the most original voices on the new French scene.

Global recognition came in 2004 with the album Politics, which contains what is universally regarded as his masterpiece: La Ritournelle, a hypnotic symphonic track created with Nigerian drummer Tony Allen and producer Zdar of Cassius. Twenty years later, in 2024, that piece enjoyed renewed global acclaim when Tellier performed it live during the opening ceremony of the Paris Paralympicsthe 28 August, at the foot of the Obelisk in Place de la Concorde. Following that evocative performance, accompanied by an orchestra and a spectacular light show, La Ritournelle It shot up to second place in the list of most-searched songs on Shazam in France, confirming its status as a timeless classic.

Over the years, Tellier has managed to reinvent himself with every new release: with Sexuality (2008), produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk, from which the single is taken Divine who represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest; with My God Is Blue (2012); and with L'Aventura (2014), inspired by the Brazilian sounds of an imaginary childhood. Always true to a single rule: never repeat oneself.

Kiss The Beast: new album anticipates live at Color Fest

Tellier arrives at Lamezia Terme in the wake of Kiss The Beast, his eighth studio album, released on 30 January 2026 for Because Music and Horizons: their first album of new material after a five-year hiatus, from Domesticated from 2020. Twelve tracks spanning forty-four minutes, which critics have interpreted as a return to his most captivating roots, yet with a desire to explore new and unexpected territories, ranging from synth-pop and disco to introspective ballads and moments of pure sonic adventure.

Kiss The Beast boasts a number of highly prestigious collaborations. The guest list features names that reflect the breadth of Tellier’s musical universe:

  • Nile Rodgers, the legendary guitarist from Chic, and the singer Slayyyter in the passage Thrill of the Night.
  • Kid Cudi, in a duet with Tellier on the single Amnesia, released on 28 January, two days before the album.
  • The lead single Refresh, released in September 2025, offers a first glimpse of the new direction.
  • A collaborative production by Tellier himself, featuring SebastiAn, Oscar Holter, Victor Le Masne and Daniel Stricker.

The result is a soundscape that the artist himself describes as monumental and maximalist, driven by the sheer joy of making music. The live performance at Colour Fest will be a rare opportunity to hear this new material performed live, alongside the classics that have defined his career: from La Ritournelle a Divine, with the nocturnal atmosphere of Sexuality the tropical colours of L'Aventura.
