Lamezia Terme, 3 May 2023 - Three days of live music, sixteen names in the line-up, international bands and artists exclusively for Southern Italy, two stages, DJ sets and side events for the 2023 edition of a Festival that in ten years has recorded over 60 thousand admissions, confirming itself as one of the most eagerly awaited summer music events in Southern Italy.

11-13 Augustin the now historic location of Agriturismo Costantino in Maida (CZ)in the hills overlooking the coast of Lamezia Terme, the 11th edition of Colour Fest which inaugurates the beginning of a new decade of art, music, nature and culture with an increasingly international profile, confirming its status as a fixed stage among the events of the Italian summer.

A grassroots festival that has become one of the most eagerly awaited events in the south, which over the past ten years has recorded a total of 60,000 attendancesbetween main events and spin-offs, and which through the 11th edition wants to inaugurate an important new path, with a broader look at the world.

"With the 11th edition, we are opening a new decade of Color Fest," comments artistic director Mirko Perri. "We will start with Franz Ferdinand, in their only date in central-southern Italy, thus looking at great international music with shows arriving for the first time in Calabria, where the Scottish band will officially open the four-stop tour planned in Italy. Added to this are the best new Italian releases such as Verdena and Lovegang126, who will present their first album as a collective on the Color stage. We will be hosting artists capable of welcoming an intergenerational audience, and, as always, all in regional exclusivity'.

Loving each other a little, the claim of this 11th edition of Color Fest, thus looks to the new decade and to Calabria: a Festival that not only looks out to the whole of Italy, but also begins to look out to the world, thanks to the spirit of cooperation with other historical Festivals such as Be-Alternative.

The Complete Line-up

Highly anticipated international headliners of the final evening on 13 August, realised in cooperation with Be Alternative Festival, and tagged Be Color: the Franz Ferdinand. After playing at the most important festivals all over Europe, the Scottish band lands in Calabria, in the only occasion in the entire Centre-South of Italy to listen live to some of the greatest hits that have consecrated it as an undisputed phenomenon of British rock.

Great expectations also for the return to the Color Fest of the Verdenaheadliner on 12 August, among the most popular bands on the Italian music scene for their eclectic style between grunge and American alternative rock, contaminated by other genres such as progressive rock and stoner rock.

Also on the line-up are the overwhelming rhythms of Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, whose sounds move between the original roots of afrobeat and new artistic contaminations.

Headlining the evening of 11 August will be Lovegang126, the collective formed by Franco126, Ketama126, Pretty Solero, Drone126, Asp126, Ugo Borghetti and Nino Brown, with their old-school rap tracks with an immediate and authentic language. Space is also given to artists loved by the youngest with Nello Taver, stage name of Vincenzo Siciliano, one of the web's most popular rappers and creators, who made his live debut in 2022 with a sold-out tour of Italy's major clubs.

On 11 August, the 'Vesuvia in Tour' of Meg, eclectic artist who has become a symbol of alternative and experimental songwriting over the years, while on 12 August the sound between funk and disco of Secret Naplesthe project of Neapolitan DJs and collectors Lorenzo Sannino (Disco-Christian family) and Gianpaolo Della Noce (DNApolis).

After having collaborated on the 'Rocambolic Endings' EP, on 13 August they will also be together on the Color 11 stage Giorgio Canali + Praino. Also on stage on the same evening Angelicaborn Angelica Schiatti, singer-songwriter and former leader of Santa Margaret.

More international sounds with Parbleuthe 'multicultural fever dream', the brainchild of Andres Balbucea and Andrea De Fazio, and the Ada Odaamong the most interesting groups in the new Belgian music scene.

Also adding to the 2023 line-up is the funky-dance groove of beatbox, trumpet, keyboard and guitar of Sibode DJ, the electronic music of Whitemary, rap between techno and psychedelic sounds of Fuera and the DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Bruno Bellissimo. Closing the evening in celebration with the Lacrima Party and DJ sets by Disco Tic and Satan Said Dance.

Loving each other a little: 'Be Colour' is born

"The claim we have chosen for this edition is Amarsi un po' (To love each other a little),' Perri explains, 'because we believe that in such a complicated historical moment, it is essential to return to loving each other, to embrace each other, to come together under a stage.

An event that for the 11th edition has broadened its horizons not only in artistic terms, but has also been enriched by an important new collaboration with Be Alternative Festival giving rise to 'Be Colour', a brand born of the union between the two great and historic cultural realities, which for over a decade have been committed to hosting the best of the independent music scene in Calabria.

Not just a claim, therefore, but an expression that aims to be a profound reflection, through art and music, on our present, to look at a radical change in artistic and cultural terms, from Calabria to the rest of the world.

Colour 11 is a eulogy to love in all its nuances through the universal language of music, represented by the graphic design by Roberto Gentili. A hymn to freedom and diversity, even in self-expression, which puts people, the true protagonists of the festival, at the centre.
