Colour Fest 14 is the festivals in Calabria which has been brightening up the summer in southern Italy since 2013: three days of independent and avant-garde music at the Riviera of Sunsets, l’11, 12 and 13 August 2026 on the Falcone and Borsellino promenade of Lamezia Terme (CZ). A secluded beach on the Tyrrhenian Sea that, for three nights, becomes one of the liveliest venues in southern Italy, far from the mainstream tourist trail and set against a breathtaking backdrop.

The fourteenth edition bears a title that is evocative in itself: “Summer on a Solitary Beach”, a tribute to Franco Battiato. A programme that brings together international headliners, cutting-edge Italian singer-songwriters and an exploration of the Calabrian region, organised as always by the association What Are Clouds APS, which has been active in the new Italian music scene since 2012.

A festival of colours and sounds: the 2026 line-up

The Colour Fest It’s not just a music festival: it’s a festival of colours, sounds and cultural fusion, just what so many people from all over Europe are looking for. This year’s edition 2026 features over twenty acts spread across three days and four stages, striking a rare balance between sophisticated electronic music, post-punk, psychedelia and singer-songwriter music. Day 1 - Tuesday 11 August

The first evening opens with the electronic and cinematic atmospheres of Apparat live version, one of the most respected names in the global electronic scene. It continues with the C'mon Tigre, a project that blends world music, jazz and electronic music, and the fusion of minimalism and Polish instrumental tradition by James Holden & Wacław Zimpel. The following complete the Day 1 the refined songwriting of Gaia Banfi, the irony of Labadessa, the indie-pop of Cloudface and the First Room to the Right.

Day 2 - Wednesday 12 August

The second day begins at dawn – quite literally. Cosmo brings its concert in the morning — from 7.30 am to 11 am, on stage Pine forest — a sonic ritual blending music with the first rays of the sun, which also lends its name to his sixth album, The Source (2026). Also on the bill is the sophisticated pop of the French artist Sebastien Tellier, fresh from the release of her album Kiss The Beast, i The Zen Circus, All Phenomena, the Dutch Yin Yin with their Thai-funk, Populous and the double set of Nico Arezzo + Anna Castiglia, one of the most interesting voices on the new Sicilian scene.

Day 3 - Thursday 13 August

Grand finale with the British Django Django, blending synth-pop, krautrock and irresistible melodies (their latest, ambitious album is Off Planet), and the explosive London post-punk band Deadletter. From Italy, they take to the stage La Nina, a rising star of contemporary singer-songwriting, Dimartino — one half of the successful duo Colapesce Dimartino — and Mai Mai, one of the most extreme noise-ritual projects on the Italian experimental scene. To round off the night, the DJ set by OKGIORGIO.

The four stages at Color Fest 14

The 2026 edition is structured around four stages, each with its own distinctive sound, plus the Colour Market dedicated to crafts and food. Here is a map of the festival:

  • Tramonti Stage (CUPRA Stage) — the main stage overlooking the sea, where the highlight of the line-up takes centre stage as the sun goes down.
  • Pinewood Stage — concerts amongst the pine trees, just a stone’s throw from the sand; this is also where the dawn concert takes place Cosmo, on the morning of 12 August.
  • Future Stage — electronic music, DJ sets and new directions in club culture.
  • Marley Stage — the acoustic stage, which also showcases up-and-coming acts.

Every year, around 400 bands They sign up, with auditions and live finals taking place not only in Calabria but also outside the region. The winners perform on the festival stage — specifically on the Marley Stage — alongside the headliners, gaining national exposure and a real opportunity for growth. Not just August: Color Fest all year round

The Color Fest does not end with the three summer days. The association What Are Clouds APS organises cultural events throughout the year: the Calabrian Music Festival on Easter Monday, the Winter Session in December, the training workshops in September (press office, artistic direction, festival organisation), the project Color Fest Kids of electronic music in schools and the university internships recognised by Italian universities. A long-standing cultural project that has built a community, year after year.
