Django Django, the Day 3 headliner
Leading the finale of the Colour Fest 14 are the Django Django, a British band born in London at 2009 and has over the years become a reference for those seeking avant-garde pop that combines krautrock, psychedelia and dancefloor. The quartet has established an unmistakable sound made up of layered vocal harmonies, shimmering synths and hypnotic rhythms. Their latest studio work, “Off Planet”, published in 2023, is an ambitious double album from 21 tracks divided into four parts, a journey through house, techno, acid and rave without ever losing the band's melodic signature.
Live the Django Django are a dance machine: their live shows turn listening into a collective experience, perfect to end a day at the festival with the sea behind you. On Tramonti Stage (CUPRA Stage) their set will be one of the most anticipated moments of the entire 14th edition.
La Niña and Dimartino: the new songwriting of the South
La Day 3 gives space to two of the most recognised voices of contemporary Italian songwriting. La Niña, stage name of Carola Moccia, is a Neapolitan singer-songwriter which blends Mediterranean tradition, dialect and modern production. His second album, “Furèsta”, released on 21 March 2025, It earned her the Targa Tenco for the best album in dialect and the Lunezia Elite PrizeA record that draws from tammurriata, Neapolitan baroque and the sounds of the South, with an intensity that becomes almost ritualistic live. The title, in Neapolitan, means “wild”, and tells its attitude well.
Alongside her comes Dimartino, Sicilian singer-songwriter by Palermo, one of the best-loved pens of the Italian indie scene. After his association with Colapesce - a collaboration temporarily paused, as he made clear, without any break - Dimartino has returned to a solo dimension with a new album using the river Oreto of Palermo as a metaphor for life: a folk record in the soul, with strings, piano, guitar and electronic openings, in which the voice becomes more naked and direct. At Colour Fest 14 will bring a set that alternates between fragility and irony, a trademark of his writing.
DEADLETTER and Mai Mai: post-punk and electronic research
The rougher, more experimental side of Day 3 bears the signature of DEADLETTER, sextet post-punk based on London but of Yorkshire origin, among the most talked-about names of the new British wave. Their debut album, “Hysterical Strength”, published on 13 September 2024 and produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele), is twelve tracks of nervous grooves, sharp lyrics and a saxophone - Poppy Richler's - duelling with guitars. Declared heirs of Gang of Four and Magazine, live the DEADLETTER are pure energy, ideal for lighting up the festival floor.
Moving onto the electronic side, the day welcomes Mai Mai, the project of Toni Cutronea path that mixes drone, noise, field recording and folklore of the Southern Italy in a hypnotic flow between ambient, techno and ritual sounds. From the so-called “Mediterranean trilogy” (Theta, Delta, Phi) to more recent albums such as “Remorse” e “In the South”, Mai Mai transforms Mediterranean memories into sound material: an immersive live performance, perfectly in line with the research spirit of the Colour Fest.
OKGIORGIO: the DJ set closing the 14th edition
Sending the Colour Fest 14 thinks about it OKGIORGIO, Italian DJ and producer based in Milan, capable of combining classical guitar with the most contemporary electronic production. After their debut EP “OK” (December 2023) and entering the class Spotify RADAR Italy 2024, has built a personal language that deconstructs analogue instruments and electronics to create new dance anthems, between future garage and post-dubstep. His dj set closure will transform the last night on the beach of Lamezia Terme in a long greeting danced until dawn.
