C'mon Tigre at Color Fest 14: the musical journey between Africa and the Mediterranean

C'mon Tigre at Colour Fest 14, 11 August 2026 - Day 1

I C'mon Tigre at Color Fest 14 are one of the most anticipated events of the Day 1: Tuesday 11 August 2026 the Italian collective with a hidden face brings its electro-jazz live to the Riviera of Sunsets by Lamezia Terme, on the Falcone and Borsellino promenade. A concert that blends Africa, jazz e Mediterranean in front of the sea of Calabria, inside the 14th edition of the festival with the claim “Summer on a Solitary Beach”.

About C'mon Tigre: a duo in hiding, a collective in sight

C'mon Tigre - official graphics Color Fest 14 Day 1

I C'mon Tigre arise in Italy in 2013 as a duo which chose from the outset the’anonymityThe two authors never show themselves publicly and foreground the musicians and visual artists with whom they collaborate. Their formula is simple and radical: “C'mon Tigre is two people, C'mon Tigre is a collective of souls”. On stage, in fact, the duo dissolves into a extended band and cosmopolitan - woodwinds, strings, percussion, guest vocals - that transforms each concert into a small collective staging, in which the music counts more than the faces.

Alongside sound, the identity of the C'mon Tigre is strongly visual. The project worked with filmmakers and photographers such as Gianluigi Toccafondo, Donato Sansone, Danijel Žeželj e Paolo Pellegrin, interweaving records, animations and images into a single imagery. Published on labels such as K7 Records e Interphones, Their work has built an international following around the project, with concerts in Europe, United States and beyond.

The sound of C'mon Tigre: Africa, jazz, electronics and tropicalism

The figure of C'mon Tigre is the contamination. Afrobeat, jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, electronics and suggestions of the Mediterranean come in and out of their songs without forcing, with rich, airy writing built on tribal rhythms e orchestral arrangements. The latest works have added a marked vein tropicalist, between samba, forró and Brazilian colours. It is a electro-jazz with multicultural contaminations which is only really understood live, when the ensemble opens the songs and lets them breathe.

Over time the C'mon Tigre have called on leading guests from the international scene to join them. Among the best-known collaborations Seun Kuti (son of Fela Kuti and heir to afrobeat), saxophonist Colin Stetson, the rapper Mick Jenkins, the singer Xenia Rubinos, the New York no-wave icon Arto Lindsay, the Brazilian voice Xenia França and the Italian singer-songwriter Giovanni Truppi.

C'mon Tigre discography, disc by disc

  • C'mon Tigre (2014) - the self-titled debut that focuses on the idea of the hidden duo and the collective.
  • Elephant RMX (2017) - the remix EP that opens up the project to new electronic readings.
  • Ratschings (2019) - the record that consolidates the afro-jazz aesthetic and the intertwining with the image.
  • Scenario (2022) - with guests such as Colin Stetson, Mick Jenkins e Xenia Rubinos.
  • Habitat (2023) - the most recent album, with Seun Kuti, Arto Lindsay, Xenia França e Giovanni Truppi, between Africa and Brazil.

Added to this discography were side projects such as the imaginary soundtrack released in 2024 and, in the 2025, a special edition for the ten years of the project: confirmation of a creativity that does not stop and continues to reinvent itself.
