Everything you can see on 11 August at the festival

The first day of the Colour Fest 14 lines up eight projects chosen one by one: the return of Apparat live version, the Mediterranean crossover of the C'mon Tigre, the meeting between James Holden e Wacław Zimpel, the new Italian singer-songwriter scene and sunset DJ sets. All at the Falcone and Borsellino promenade, a stone's throw from the sea.

Apparat live - dreaming under the stars

Sascha Ring, in art Apparat, arrives at Lamezia Terme with his set liveguitar, synthesisers, vocals. One of the most recognisable signatures of European electronics, half of the historic Moderat, author of soundtracks and records that redefined the relationship between IDM and songwriting. At Colour Fest brings a concert designed for summer darkness, with the sea behind.

C'mon Tigre - for rhythm

An Italian project with an anonymous identity and international scope, the C'mon Tigre melt jazz, afrobeat, electronics and Mediterranean suggestions. On stage they become an extended collective: horns, percussion, synthesisers, guest vocals. Their presence in Day 1 is the rhythmic column of the evening.

James Holden x Wacław Zimpel - to remain speechless

One of the most sought-after collaborations on the European electronic scene. James Holden, British psychedelic post-techno pioneer meets Polish clarinettist Wacław Zimpelmodular, horns, patterns that dissolve into long, meditative trances. A live to be listened to in silence, with eyes closed.

Gaia Banfi - for a better place

Gaia Banfi is one of the most interesting voices of the new Italian singer-songwriter scene: minimal electronics, dry writing, nocturnal imagery. His songs speak of cities, bodies, desires, with a sound system that looks to pop d'auteur without compromise. At Colour Fest 14 brings this urgency.

Labadessa - to recognise oneself

“I no longer recognise myself”: this is what it looks like Labadessa at Day 1. An Apulian singer-songwriter with oblique, ironic and melancholic writing at the same time, he constructs songs that combine Italian tradition, lo-fi psychedelia and an obsessive attention to detail. One of the most anticipated surprises of the’11 August.

Cloudface - to remember our youth

Cloudface is the contaminated folk project that leads to the Colour Fest accordion, voice and an imagery suspended between cinema and memory. An intimate live performance, designed for the early hours of the evening, which transforms the beach into a village square.

First Room to the Right - to fall in love again

A duo that has established itself in recent months as one of the most identifiable realities of the new Italian indie scene. I First Room to the Right work on synthesis, layered beats and direct lyrics: their presence in Day 1 photographs exactly where Italian pop is going in the 2026.

Lillo Morreale + Speedy + Kyunos - for freshness

To close and accompany the Day 1, DJ sets by Lillo Morreale, Speedy e KyunosThree complementary selections of club music, research and Mediterranean groove. The part of the festival where you dance late into the night, with sand under your feet.

What to expect from Day 1

La Day 1 of Colour Fest 14 is the most night e cerebral of the edition: electronic songwriting, off-format Italian song, improvisation and DJ sets. It is the best way to enter the festival - and to understand why from fourteen years the Colour Fest remains one of the most respected events on the Italian independent scene.
