Over 6,000 attendees for the 12th edition
The 12th edition of Color Fest ended with an extraordinary success, attracting more than 6,000 music fans between 14 and 16 August 2024. This event, which took place in the picturesque hills of Maida, nestled between the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia and the Gulf of Squillace, confirmed its role as a protagonist of the music scene in Southern Italy.
A Festival in Growth and Internationalisation
The Colour Festnow in its twelfth year, continues to evolve, establishing itself as a benchmark for live music lovers. This year, the festival took an important step towards internationalisation, hosting artists of international and national calibre. The first day saw the national premiere performance of the Lip Criticwhile for the first time in Calabria, the Texan singer-songwriter Micah P. Hinson conquered the audience with his unmistakable voice. Together with him, independent Italian artists such as Fulminacci, I Hate My Village, Bassolino e Coca Puma contributed to creating a unique and engaging atmosphere.
An Immersive Experience Between Nature and Music
The Color Fest is not only music, but also an immersive experience in contact with nature. The hills of Maida offered a breathtaking backdrop, where participants could dance and have fun under the stars. Among the most anticipated artists, Cosmo brought his unmistakable style, while The Ice Cream Wizard, Toy Tonics Jam, Deena Abdelwahed, Ko Shin Moon and sets of Populous e Clap! Clap! made the whole area vibrate with their rhythms and sounds.
Synergy and Territorial Enhancement
The closing of the 12th Colour Fest was entrusted to a unique event: the second stage of BeColora project combining the Colour Fest and the Be Alternative Festival in a path of cultural and tourist sharing aimed at enhancing the Calabrian territory. Protagonists of the final evening were the Editors, a historic band from Birmingham, who performed for the first time in Calabria, on the only date in central and southern Italy in the summer of 2024. Before them, on stage were Any Other, Leatherette e Trust the Maskleaving its mark on this memorable edition.
