Color Fest 2026: Three days of music on the Riviera of Tramonti from 11 to 13 August

The Color Fest 2026 returns to Lamezia Terme's Lungomare Falcone Borsellino for its fourteenth edition. From 11 to 13 August, under the claim “Summer on a Solitary Beach”, Calabria's most important music festival once again transforms the Tyrrhenian coast into an open-air stage, with a programme combining international artists, Italian singer-songwriters and new discoveries from the independent scene.

After its debut on the coast in 2025 - the edition that marked the move from the hills to the sea - the Color Fest XIV confirms the Riviera dei Tramonti as its natural home, continuing a project that has been building culture, community and musical tourism in the heart of the South since 2013.

The Riviera of Sunsets: the location of the Color Fest XIV

The Lungomare Falcone Borsellino overlooks the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia, in a stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast known as the Riviera dei Tramonti for the spectacular twilight lights that paint the sky above the sea every evening. It is here that the Color Fest has found its most authentic dimension: the stages rise between the sand and the pine forest, the audience moves between the concerts and the shore, and the Stromboli lights on the horizon as the last notes of evening fall.

This area of the Lametino coastline represents a natural and scenic context of great impact, capable of offering an experience that goes far beyond the concert. The sea breeze, the sound of the waves and the enveloping atmosphere of the sunset make each day of the festival a total immersion in the music and the landscape, in a formula that has no equal among the summer festivals of southern Italy.

A line-up of international names and unique Calabrian dates

The Color Fest XIV brings an ambitious programme to Lamezia Terme, spread over three days and several stages. Among the artists already announced for the 2026 edition are names coming to Calabria for the first time ever and others who choose the festival as their only stop in the region.

The first day, Monday 11 August, features Apparat - for the first time ever in Calabria with his live performance - together with C'mon Tigre, James Holden & Wacław Zimpel e Gaia Banfi. Tuesday 12 August opens at dawn with a morning concert by Cosmo (8-11 a.m., on the occasion of the presentation of the album The Source), to continue with The Zen Circus (only date in Calabria), All Phenomena (only date in Calabria), Yīn Yīn, Nico Arezzo e Anna Castile as special guest. The third day, Wednesday 13 August, closes the festival with Django Django, La Niña (only date in Calabria, winner of the Targa Tenco 2025), Deadletter e Mai Mai. The line-up is still being finalised: more artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

How to get to Color Fest: a festival in the centre of Calabria

One of the strengths of the Lungomare Falcone Borsellino is its strategic location. The location is just a few minutes from Lamezia Terme International Airport - Calabria's main airport, connected by direct flights to major Italian and European cities - and the Lamezia Terme Centrale railway station. This accessibility makes Color Fest one of the easiest summer festivals to reach in the South, both for those arriving by plane and those travelling by train or car along the A2 motorway.

Once on the seafront, the public can count on the services already present on the shoreline: equipped bathing establishments, camping area, quality catering with local products, and spaces to experience the festival from dawn to late at night. The Color Fest is not just a musical event: it is a journey into the music, sea and landscape of Southern Italy, designed for those who want to turn a week in August into a complete experience of culture, relaxation and discovery of Calabria.

The Color Fest from 2013 to date: fourteen editions of music in Calabria

Set up in 2013 by the association Che Cosa Sono Le Nuvole APS, the Color Fest has grown edition after edition to become one of Italy's leading independent festivals. Artists such as Franz Ferdinand, Editors, Brunori Sas, Cosmo, Marlene Kuntz, Afterhours, Fulminacci, Nu Genea, Iosonouncane, Verdena, Nada, Colapesce Dimartino, The Zen Circus, Motta, La Rappresentante di Lista and many others have passed through its stages. A path that has led the festival to consolidate itself as a point of reference for live music in the South of Italy, generating a significant impact in terms of attendance, economic induced activity and critical recognition at a national level. With over 60% of audiences coming from outside the region in the last editions, the Color Fest is now a real driver of cultural tourism for Calabria.
