Shame is a British post-punk band formed in 2014 in South London. The group consists of Charlie Steen (vocals), Sean Coyle-Smith and Eddie Green (guitars), Josh Finerty (bass) and Charlie Forbes (drums). Their music is characterised by raw energy and provocative lyrics, which quickly set them apart in the London music scene.

The band started playing and rehearsing above the Queen's Head pub in Brixton, also known for hosting the Fat White Family. This environment allowed Shame to develop their distinctive sound and to refine their live performances. In 2016, they released their first single, followed by a series of tracks that caught the attention of critics and the public.

Their debut album, Songs of Praise, was released on 12 January 2018, receiving rave reviews and reaching position number 32 in the UK Albums Chart. This work consolidated their reputation as one of the most promising emerging bands in the post-punk scene.

The second album, Drunk Tank Pinkreleased on 15 January 2021, showed a maturation in their musical style, exploring new sounds and more introspective themes. The album achieved even greater success, reaching number eight in the UK charts.

In 2023, Shame released their third album, Food for Wormsrecorded entirely live at various European festivals. This project captures the energy and intensity of their performances, offering listeners an authentic and immersive experience.

In addition to their studio productions, Shame is renowned for their energy-packed live performances, which have helped to build a solid fan base and consolidate their position in the international music scene.
