Labadessa live at Color Fest 14: the bird-man comes to Calabria

Mattia Labadessa (Naples, 1993) is illustrator, author of graphic novels e singer-songwriter. He became a web phenomenon thanks to his iconic character - a cynical and nihilistic red-bird man living in a minimalist world of yellow backgrounds - was able to give voice to the generational unease of an entire generation, amid existential doubts, everyday anxieties and emotional tenderness.

With over 335,000 followers on Instagram and almost 470,000 on Facebook, his cartoons have become a reference for anyone in their 20s and 40s. He has published four books with ShockdomThings like this, Half a lemon slice, Calata Capodichino e Bernardo Cavallino - and has collaborated with brands such as Sanpellegrino Casino for a limited edition dedicated to thinking outside the box.

But Labadessa is an artist in continuous metamorphosis. For some time now he has been combining the pencil with the voice, building up a musical journey who brings to the stage the same fragility and poetic gaze of his illustrations, translated, however, into a new language made up of songs, melodies and live. His musical project, which began almost as a joke on social media, quickly gained an increasingly wide audience, with tracks such as We Should Get A Dog e Montesanto and a tour 2026 which touched clubs such as the’Turin Off Topicthe Locomotiv in Bologna and theArci Bellezza in Milan.

L’11 August 2026 Labadessa arrives in Calabria for the first time, on stage at the Colour Fest 14 at Falcone and Borsellino promenade by Lamezia Terme, bringing his live between songwriting, irony and visual poetry in the heart of the Riviera of Sunsets.
