L\u201911 August 2026<\/strong> the Colour Fest 14<\/strong> opens its 14th edition with one of the most respected names in contemporary European electronics: Apparat live<\/strong> at Colour Fest 2026<\/strong>. Century Sascha Ring<\/strong> (Quedlinburg, 27 June 1978<\/strong>), Berliner by adoption since 1997, brings his concert to the Riviera of Sunsets<\/strong>, in front of the sea of Lamezia Terme (CZ)<\/strong>, to inaugurate the Day 1<\/strong> on Falcone and Borsellino promenade<\/strong>. A perfect season debut for the festival's claim, Summer on a Solitary Beach<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Apparat<\/strong> is one of the key figures of the Berlin electronic scene<\/strong> of the last 20 years. Its history starts around the label Shitkatapult<\/em>, founded by Marco Haas<\/strong>, which Ring was co-owner for a long time before signing for the historic Mute Records<\/strong> at 2011<\/strong>. It is in that catalogue that he publishes records that have become milestones: \u201cWalls\u201d<\/em> (2007<\/strong>), \u201cThe Devil's Walk\u201d<\/em> (2011<\/strong>) e \u201cLP5\u201d<\/em> (2019<\/strong>), the latter appointed to the Grammy 2020<\/strong> as Best Dance\/Electronic Album and awarded by IMPALA<\/strong> as European Independent Album of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general public knows him even without knowing it: his \u201cGoodbye\u201d<\/em> with Soap&Skin<\/strong> is the initial initials of Dark<\/strong>, the cult Netflix series of 2017<\/strong>. And then there is the collective chapter: together with the Modeselektor<\/strong>, Ring is half of Moderat<\/strong>, one of the most cinematic electronic live performances of the decade, with albums in the 2009<\/strong>, 2013<\/strong>, 2016<\/strong> and the last \u201cMORE D4TA\u201d<\/em> at 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert at Colour Fest 14<\/strong> comes at the hottest moment in the recent career of Apparat<\/strong>. The 20 February 2026<\/strong> came out for Mute<\/strong> his sixth studio album, \u201cA Hum of Maybe\u201d<\/em>the first solo album after seven years of silence since the release of \u201cLP5\u201d<\/em>. Born from hundreds of sound sketches produced over six months in the 2025<\/strong>, is a work that fuses electronic production and almost chamber-like writing, made up of meticulous textures, warm instrumentation and a constant emotional shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important news for concert goers is that \u201cA Hum of Maybe\u201d<\/em> began as a record of band<\/strong>. Ring built it with its historical musicians - Philipp Johann Thimm<\/strong> (cello, piano, guitar), Christoph \u201cM\u00e4ckie\u201d Hamann<\/strong> (violin, keyboards, bass), J\u00f6rg W\u00e4hner<\/strong> (drums) and Christian Kohlhaas<\/strong> (trombone) - the same ones who accompany him on the European tour that started in January and runs through the summer 2026<\/strong>. The Colour Fest<\/strong> fits exactly into this live cycle: in Lamezia, not a DJ, but a electronic concert<\/strong> to all intents and purposes, with strings, horns, drums and live vocals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why it is worth seeing it live<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The live of Apparat<\/strong> is one of the most recognisable experiences of electronic auteurism. The sound oscillates between ambient<\/em>, IDM<\/em>, post-rock<\/em> e cinematic electronica<\/em>The attitude is that of cultured writing - Ring has composed music for theatre, cinema and installations - but the dynamics are big-stage. It works by accumulation: long crescendos, emotional explosions, sudden gaps of silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
