The first day of the Colour Fest 14<\/strong> lines up eight projects<\/strong> chosen one by one: the return of Apparat<\/strong> live version, the Mediterranean crossover of the C'mon Tigre<\/strong>, the meeting between James Holden<\/strong> e Wac\u0142aw Zimpel<\/strong>, the new Italian singer-songwriter scene and sunset DJ sets. All at the Falcone and Borsellino promenade<\/strong>, a stone's throw from the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparat live - dreaming under the stars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sascha Ring<\/strong>, in art Apparat<\/strong>, arrives at Lamezia Terme<\/strong> with his set live<\/strong>guitar, synthesisers, vocals. One of the most recognisable signatures of European electronics, half of the historic Moderat<\/strong>, author of soundtracks and records that redefined the relationship between IDM and songwriting. At Colour Fest<\/strong> brings a concert designed for summer darkness, with the sea behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C'mon Tigre - for rhythm<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

An Italian project with an anonymous identity and international scope, the C'mon Tigre<\/strong> melt jazz<\/strong>, afrobeat<\/strong>, electronics and Mediterranean suggestions. On stage they become an extended collective: horns, percussion, synthesisers, guest vocals. Their presence in Day 1<\/strong> is the rhythmic column of the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James Holden x Wac\u0142aw Zimpel - to remain speechless<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the most sought-after collaborations on the European electronic scene. James Holden<\/strong>, British psychedelic post-techno pioneer meets Polish clarinettist Wac\u0142aw Zimpel<\/strong>modular, horns, patterns that dissolve into long, meditative trances. A live<\/strong> to be listened to in silence, with eyes closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaia Banfi - for a better place<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Gaia Banfi<\/strong> is one of the most interesting voices of the new Italian singer-songwriter scene: minimal electronics, dry writing, nocturnal imagery. His songs speak of cities, bodies, desires, with a sound system that looks to pop d'auteur without compromise. At Colour Fest 14<\/strong> brings this urgency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Labadessa - to recognise oneself<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

An Apulian singer-songwriter with oblique, ironic and melancholic writing at the same time, he constructs songs that combine Italian tradition, lo-fi psychedelia and an obsessive attention to detail. Cloudface - to remember our youth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cloudface<\/strong> is the contaminated folk project that leads to the Colour Fest<\/strong> accordion, voice and an imagery suspended between cinema and memory. A duo that has established itself in recent months as one of the most identifiable realities of the new Italian indie scene. Lillo Morreale + Speedy + Kyunos - for freshness<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To close and accompany the Day 1<\/strong>, DJ sets by Lillo Morreale<\/strong>, Speedy<\/strong> e Kyunos<\/strong>Three complementary selections of club music, research and Mediterranean groove. The part of the festival where you dance late into the night, with sand under your feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
