The Colour Fest 14<\/strong> It is not just the most important independent music festival in southern Italy: it is a window wide open to the world. The international artists at Color Fest 2026<\/strong> come from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Poland<\/strong> and arrange to meet 11, 12 and 13 August 2026<\/strong> on Falcone and Borsellino promenade<\/strong>, the Riviera of Sunsets<\/strong> by Lamezia Terme (CZ)<\/strong>. Names that fill clubs and festivals across Europe and who, in many cases, are playing for the first \u2014 and perhaps only \u2014 time in southern Italy, under the slogan \u201cSummer on a Solitary Beach\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From orchestral electronica to post-punk, from French pop to Dutch psychedelic funk: here is the complete guide to the international artists who make the fourteenth edition<\/strong> of the festival organised by What Are Clouds APS<\/strong>. Apparat live - 11 August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apparat<\/strong>, born Sascha Ring<\/strong>, is one of the most revered names in contemporary electronic music. A Berliner by choice, born in Quedlinburg in 1978<\/strong>, over a career spanning more than twenty years, he has created a sonic universe that ranges from minimal techno to orchestral ambient, including compositions known throughout the world \u2014 his music also features in the Netflix series \u201cDark\u201d<\/strong>. Half of the project Moderat<\/strong> together with Modeselektor, at the 2026<\/strong> is back with his sixth studio album \u201cA Hum Of Maybe\u201d<\/strong>, released on 20 February 2026 on Mute Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album emerged from an almost therapeutic exercise: after a long period of creative block following \u201cLP5\u201d<\/strong> (2019), Ring set himself the task of coming up with one track a day, without passing judgement. From hundreds of rough drafts created in 2025, the strongest tracks emerged, shaped in collaboration with his long-standing collaborators Philipp Johann Thimm<\/strong> (cello, piano, guitar), Christoph \u201cM\u00e4ckie\u201d Hamann<\/strong>, J\u00f6rg W\u00e4hner<\/strong> on drums and Christian Kohlhaas<\/strong> on the trombone \u2014 the very same musicians who accompany him on stage. His live performance at Color Fest will be the Apparat's first time ever in Calabria<\/strong>: an immersive journey through the tracks from his new album and the classics from his back catalogue. James Holden & Wac\u0142aw Zimpel - 11 August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When the British electronics manufacturer James Holden<\/strong> meets Polish clarinettist and composer Wac\u0142aw Zimpel<\/strong>, something emerges that transcends genres. Holden, a cult figure on the London scene since the early 2000s with the label Border Community<\/strong>, is renowned for an approach that combines improvisation, modular synthesisers and hypnotic structures. Zimpel brings with him the depth of Eastern European tradition and a mastery of alto clarinet<\/strong> spanning jazz, minimalism and contemporary music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their collaborative album \u201cThe Universe Will Take Care Of You\u201d.\u201d<\/strong>, released on 13 June 2025<\/strong>, captured on record what was already happening on stage: acoustic trance and ever-changing soundscapes<\/strong>, where Holden\u2019s modular synth interacts with Zimpel\u2019s wind instruments in an addictive stream of improvisation. C\u2019mon Tigre \u2014 11 August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although it is based in Italy, the collective C'mon Tigre<\/strong> It is, in every sense, a project with an international scope: a flexible collaboration in which music and the visual arts constantly influence one another, capable of weaving together jazz, Afrobeat, electronic music and traditional Brazilian rhythms<\/strong>. Following the album \u201cHabitat\u201d<\/strong> (2023), the collective launched a new series with a series of singles \u201cK\/\/AK\/\/A\u201d<\/strong> (September 2025) and \u201cDRIVER IDLE\u201d<\/strong> (April 2026), a preview of the eagerly awaited new album due out in 2026<\/strong> and the summer tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event on the Lamezia seafront, scheduled for on 11 August<\/strong>, is one of the most eagerly awaited stops on the tour: a live show in which hypnotic grooves, brass sections and projections transform the stage into a multi-sensory experience. S\u00e9bastien Tellier - 12 August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e9bastien Tellier<\/strong> is a living legend of French music. A Parisian, born in 1975<\/strong>, has spent more than two decades building a unique soundscape: a dreamlike and sophisticated pop style, steeped in French touch<\/strong>, psychedelia and cinematic romanticism. From the albums \u201cPolitics\u201d<\/strong> e \u201cSexuality\u201d<\/strong> as recently as \u201cKiss The Beast\u201d<\/strong>, released on 30 January 2026<\/strong>, his music is a complete sensory journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKiss The Beast\u201d is an ambitious twelve-track mosaic blending disco, synth ballads and orchestral interludes, featuring a stellar line-up of collaborators: the strings of Owen Pallett<\/strong>, the guitar of Nile Rodgers<\/strong> and featuring Kid Cudi<\/strong> e Slayyyter<\/strong>. Tellier is coming to Color Fest for one of his rare Italian dates on 2026<\/strong>: after years of the organisation trying to secure his appearance, the French maestro will finally take to the stage at the Riviera dei Tramonti. Y\u012bn Y\u012bn - 12 August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From Maastricht<\/strong>, in the south of the Netherlands, comes one of the most infectious bands on the European scene: the Y\u012bn Y\u012bn<\/strong>. The quartet \u2014 Kees Berkers<\/strong> on drums, Remy Scheren<\/strong> at the bottom, Erik Bandt<\/strong> on guitar and Jerry Scheren<\/strong> on the keyboards \u2014 blends irresistibly funk, disco, surf, psychedelia and Southeast Asian sounds<\/strong>. From their early jam sessions to the stages of Lowlands, Fuji Rock, Roskilde and Trans Musicales, they have won over audiences with a sound that gets any crowd moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I Django Django<\/strong> They are a key part of the history of contemporary British music. Formed in London<\/strong> formed in 2009 but with Scottish roots, the quartet \u2014 Vincent Neff<\/strong> (vocals and guitar), David Maclean<\/strong> (drums and production), Jimmy Dixon<\/strong> (low) and Tommy Grace<\/strong> (synth) \u2014 made his debut in 2012<\/strong> with a self-titled album nominated for the Mercury Prize<\/strong>. Since then, their journey has taken them through art-rock, synth-pop, psychedelia and tribal rhythms<\/strong>, always with a visionary outlook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five studio albums \u2014 from \u201cBorn Under Saturn\u201d<\/strong> a \u201cGlowing in the Dark\u201d<\/strong> until \u201cOff Planet\u201d<\/strong> (2023) \u2014 have cemented their place among the most creative and unpredictable bands on the international indie scene. Deadletter - 13 August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I Deadletter<\/strong> They are one of the hottest British bands of the moment. Formed in Yorkshire<\/strong> and transplanted to London<\/strong>, led by their charismatic frontman Zac Lawrence<\/strong>, have taken centre stage post-punk<\/strong> European with devastating live energy, sharp lyrics and the unmistakable Nathan Pigott's saxophone<\/strong>, which sets them apart from any other band of their generation. Following their acclaimed debut \u201cHysterical Strength\u201d<\/strong> (2024), the 27 February 2026<\/strong> have released their new album \u201cExistence Is Bliss\u201d<\/strong> at SO Recordings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The album is even more experimental than the previous one: it leaves room for influences from jazz, folk and art-rock<\/strong> without losing an ounce of their ferocity, and critics compare them to bands like Fontaines D.C. whilst acknowledging that Deadletter have a distinct identity of their own. With a growing fan base and a series of sold out in Italian clubs<\/strong>, they\u2019re a force to be reckoned with in concert \u2013 you have to see them to believe it.
