bio:

Altea, a pseudonym for Altea Graziadio, is an Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in 2002. Originally from the Calabrian hinterland, she attributes the origin of the melancholy in her music to her homeland, likening her growth to that of a prickly pear that thrives in the earth. Her trumpet, a faithful companion, accompanies her on every musical journey, representing a constant and reliable presence.

Altea's artistic project stems from the need to transform personal experiences into music that can be shared with others. His style combines elements of indie and R&B, characterised by a warm Mediterranean heart and a vocal style rich in natural harmonics, with a distinctive lightness. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, he integrates nuances and colours from the different instruments he masters into his performances, with the trumpet emerging as a distinctive element of his sound.

His eclectic and engaging personality is reflected in intense performances with a strong emotional impact. In 2022, he took his unreleased tracks on tour with the Marley Session, also performing at the Scomodo magazine in Rome. In the summer of the same year, he embarked on a street tour, playing as a busker in several Italian cities, including Bologna and Florence. In June 2023, he opened Nada's concert and participated in the 'Palchi Belli' contest organised by Rockit in collaboration with Ostello Bello Napoli.

In April 2023, Altea released her first single, 'Amici Amici', followed in May by 'Cherosene'. In December of the same year, he released 'Parlerò di te', an emotional ballad about the end of a love affair and the memories that linger. Altea describes this song as a declaration of young love, evoking sleepless nights spent listening to sad songs. In 2024, he released 'It Works Like This', an ironic and lively track that explores the relationship between love affliction and musical creativity.
